The Yippee Storm Open House - Meet the Coaches
The Coaching Staff
The Program
As lacrosse families, we are approaching the time of year when we have decided on spring activities for our young athletes to include lacrosse.  For some families, their daughters would like to play on the town program with their friends as well as experience a more competitive level of lacrosse coached by experienced coaches who have played the modern game.

This is the charter of Yippee Lacrosse's Spring Team, THE STORM.
  • Competitive Games versus other Club Programs (8 Games)
  • Weekly Practices as a team
  • Coaches who have played College Women's Lacrosse
  • Coaches who are experience who have coached Women's & Girls Youth Lacrosse

Making this type of decision & commitment to engage in another spring activity can also be a confusing and scary process. To help ease your nerves, The Yippee Storm is offering an open house Wednesday, February 13th from 4:30 to 5:30pm at the Mansfield Sport Complex 31 Oxford Road Mansfield MA

This will be an environment for players and parents to meet the Storm coaching staff and evaluate if  "The Storm" is the right fit for your daughter. No cuts will be made, however players will be expected to practice as a team and participate as if they were a members of The Storm.  If you are interested, please RSVP via e-mail to
info@yippeelacrosse.com with the players name, grade and town.

The Yippee Storm's Philosophy:
The mission of the Storm is to supplement a town program, not compete with it and prepare players to take their game to the next level.  Many programs focus on tryouts to target the best players and athletes for their program. The Yippee Storm take a different approach. Many athletes want to participate in multiple activities or have not been exposed to the competitive aspects of club Lacrosse which result in a reluctance to try out or avoid participating.

The Yippee Storm's view is club lacrosse should be a part of the natural maturation process of a young athlete. As coaches and ex-Athletes we need to teach our young athletes how to compete and grow as teammates.   This will foster lifelong lessons on and out the field while learning how to embrace new challenges. This team building will also build The Storm into a team versus a group of talented athletes. Please note, The Yippee Storm has every intention of being one of the most competitive programs in New England and embraces competition.

The Yippee Storm also has a philosophy that a lacrosse player can live and breathe lacrosse in a fun and competitive way, but also have a life! We encourage our players to engage in other sports and club programs. The lacrosse culture is a great one to be a part of and we do not want to turn away athletes who are still learning the game.
The open house will give players ad parents an opportunity to meet the staff, do some drills, and have a little fun.   If you are planning on joining us, please RSVP via e-mail to info@yippeelacrosse.com players name, grade, town, and any medical conditions.

We look forward to seeing you all on the field and please feel free to reach out to us if you have any question.
